一群有理想有抱負的年青學子，在一九四九年，毅然從一份刊物的讀者會中創辦學友中西舞蹈研究社，於一九七五年改稱學友社。
半個多世紀以來，我社秉承互助友愛，勤奮好學，服務社會，探求真知的宗旨堅持培育青年，使之成敢於承擔，樂於奉獻，關心社會，知識廣博，放眼世界的學友人。
從五十年代到六十年代，我社為文化沙漠的香港培養出本地的藝術家，豐富了學生的文化生活；從七十到八十年代，我們為功課沉重的學生解決問題，並舉辦多采多姿的課餘活動；從八十年代起，我們給予學生全面的輔導，協助他們尋找出路，探求真知。
際此二十一世紀之初，我們將一如既住，堅定不移，為社培養「學友人」為社會培養更多人才。
Aim
1. To nurture the spirit of mutual-support, and amiability, diligence as well as eagerness to
learn;
2. To encourage pursuance of truth and dedication to serve the society;
3. To cultivate positive personality of youth through the organization of healthy activities.
