Introduction

HKADA established in 1995, is the first local organization specialized in providing services to people with dementia. It is running on a fully self-financed, non-profit making basis, without Government subvention. We are the only member of the Alzheimer’s Disease International and the first organization specialized in providing services to people with dementia and their families in Hong Kong

HKADA aims to provide professional and multi-therapeutic activities/ services to people with dementia and their care givers. It also provides different levels of training and education to professionals, care givers and the public, to enhance their knowledge and skills as to achieve the effects of “Early Detection, Early Treatment, Early Planning”.

In the recent years, taking reference of the Chinese Confucian’s Six Arts framework, HKADA designed an integrative model for physical, social and cognitive stimulation and put to practice in its cognitive training programmes.
